Who We Serve

Dr. Moshe Maiman, pediatric neuropsychologist

Dr. Moshe Maiman

Licensed child neuropsychologist in Florida. Practicing in Fort Lauderdale.

We provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults—typically ages 6 months through 24 years—with a wide range of developmental, learning, emotional, behavioral, and medical concerns. Families often come to us when questions feel complex, when previous evaluations have not fully captured their child’s needs, or when they are seeking a clearer understanding of how their child thinks, learns, develops, and functions in everyday life.

We evaluate concerns involving attention, learning, language, memory, executive functioning, social development, and adaptive skills, as well as neurodevelopmental differences, genetic conditions, and complex medical or neurological histories. Our evaluations are designed to provide families with clarity, understanding, and practical guidance—not simply a diagnosis. Services are tailored to the questions being asked and the individual needs of each child and family.

Common Questions

Do you take insurance?

No. Pediatric Neuropsychology Associates PLLC is a self-pay, out-of-network practice and does not bill insurance directly. We accept major credit and debit cards, cash, and HSA/FSA funds when permitted by your plan. A non-refundable 25% deposit is required before evaluation dates are scheduled, with the remaining balance due at the intake interview. Once the evaluation is complete, we can provide a superbill for submission to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

How long does the whole process take?

The process begins with completion of the background questionnaire, collection and review of relevant records, and a 45–90 minute intake interview. Testing typically lasts 4–7 hours for a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation or 2–4 hours for a neurodevelopmental evaluation. Once testing is complete, families participate in a 60–90 minute feedback meeting to review the findings, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations. A comprehensive written report is provided several weeks later.

What do you not provide?

Our services do not include ongoing psychotherapy, custody or forensic evaluations, or emergency mental health care. When appropriate, we may provide referrals to other professionals or services that may better meet a family’s needs.
